SILAS BAUER

Mr. Bauer is the President of Seal Rock Energy. His experience with distributed generation interconnection began while working as the Director of Interconnection for a New England solar developer. After leaving the solar development position he joined a Boston based consulting and engineering firm and built a core group of energy developer clients who needed specialized interconnection help. In June 2018, Mr. Bauer founded Seal Rock Energy to continue providing specialized interconnection consulting to his clients and to allow greater flexibility to meet his clients' needs. Seal Rock specializes in commercial and industrial scale energy projects of all sizes.

To date, Seal Rock Energy has worked on projects from a few hundred kilowatts in size to projects over 100 megawatts in 20 different states.

Mr. Bauer has worked for a number of private companies and spent 4 years working for the State of California at the California Energy Commission.  He is a 1998 graduate of Connecticut College (BA) and a 2009 graduate of the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts University (MA).
